Will is from Holland, Michigan. He attended Hope College for two years before transferring to Messiah College where he studied Middle Level Education with an emphasis in Social Studies. At Messiah, Will was fortunate enough to play lacrosse for the Men’s team. He is thankful for that opportunity, and how God used the Messiah Lacrosse community to change the course of his life. During his time at Messiah he served with FCA Lacrosse, AROMA Missions, and the Charlotte Eagles. With these organizations Will gained sports ministry experience in coaching, playing, disciplining, and cross-cultural ministry. He feels most alive when he is building relationships with people, and using the hope and encouragement of the gospel to influence their lives.

How & Why Did you become a MAI Missionary?

I became a MAI missionary because I felt that God had placed a calling on my heart, and serving with MAI would allow me to take steps towards God’s call on my life. With MAI, I’m able to mix my passions with the purpose God has put in my life. I love building relationships, and pouring into youth. I also love sports, and believe that when using sports as a platform, lives can be changed. As for purpose, I’m a door holder. I have, and continue to experience this beautiful relationship with Jesus. Since experiencing His fullness, I want to hold the door open, and create opportunities for others to come in and grow hungry for Jesus.
